I am Katy Tessman,  mom of two active boys, singer-songwriter, educator, breast cancer survivor, and self-published author of the award winning book for children about breast cancer ”Our Mama is a Beautiful Garden” and the accompanying lyric picture book for ”Hero Now Crowned.” I am passionate about literacy, school library transformation, and the maker movement.
